Todowing

Todoist flattens sub-tasks in Today, Upcoming, filter, label and board views. Todowing is a Chrome extension that puts them back under their parents, up to four levels deep. Each sub-task row shows its own due date, priority and labels, and you can check it off or reopen it without opening the task.

The free version has all the nesting, with up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task, plus seven color palettes and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%. It needs no account. A one-time $19.99 lifetime unlock removes the row limit and adds inline add, rename and drag-reorder, a hide-done toggle, focus sessions with time estimates, a notes pad above Today, Apple Calendar events in Today, a font picker, and every future upgrade. There is no subscription, and refunds run 14 days, no questions asked.

Todowing is for Todoist users who lean on sub-tasks and checklists and want to see them outside the project view. Your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never touch Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking. It runs in the Todoist web app in Chrome and does not run in the Todoist desktop app. Todowing is an unofficial companion extension, not affiliated with Doist.
